Four's and Five's
Overview
Our program for four and five year old children expands upon the skills and concepts offered in the three's program while meeting each child at their individual developmental stage, as this may also be a child’s first experience in preschool. The curriculum addresses social development and encourages functioning both individually and as a member of a group.
The children are encouraged to problem solve, to demonstrate the ability to think, reason, question, and remember. The further development of coordination for fine and gross motor activities is incorporated into the curriculum. Continuing to provide opportunities for use of different art forms as a vehicle for creative expression are incorporated into the curriculum.
Our goal is to provide the children the experiences necessary to be competent lifelong learners, as they continue on to kindergarten.
